Level A Membership shall be open to organizations/ non-profits/ charities/ businesses/ sole proprietors operating in British Columbia in Equine Assisted Services that agree with the association’s objectives and mission and upon payment of the membership fee. Each Level A member is entitled to one (1) vote at annual general meetings and special general meetings to be exercised by a Level A delegate. All Level A Members can apply to all granting opportunities and will be listed on our website with their profile & contact information.
Level B Membership shall be open to any resident of British Columbia who agrees with the association’s mission and upon payment of the membership fee. Each Level B member is entitled to one (1) vote at annual general meetings and special general meetings. No access to funding.
Participant Registry Membership shall be open to any resident of British Columbia who agrees with the association’s mission and upon payment of the membership fee and participating in events such as the BC Summer Games or the BCTRA Annual Video Competition. Level C1 are NON-VOTING members and do not have access to direct funding support with their REGISTRY membership.
We welcome members outside the province to join BCTRA events and activities, however; our bylaws do not permit non-residents to be voting members. Level B2 are NON-VOTING members and do not have access to funding support with their FRIENDS membership.
Your membership in BCTRA (British Columbia Therapeutic Riding Association) provides a connection between Equine Assisted Service providers, individuals and participants across the province with the opportunity to share your ideas with our members. Some benefits of membership include:
Members can also get involved by sitting on special committees or volunteer for tasks to help our membership grow.
BCTRA Memberships runs from January, to December 31. Membership fees are due prior to January 1st. The Board reserves the right to adjust membership fees from time to time. Please complete form and payment online.
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS
As per our bylaws the Board may, at its discretion, refuse membership to a group or individual. Beginning in Fall 2023 you will be able to login to the portal and view your membership information and status.
TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
The Board has the right to terminate a membership if the member has not paid their fee within 30 days of membership, if member not in good standing, or fails to comply with BCTRA’s bylaws. Written notice will be given to member with reasonable opportunity to respond.
ELECTRONIC CORRESPONDENCE
The email information provided on this form will only be used by us to contact you. It will not be sold or distributed to anyone else. You will receive an electronic newsletter approximately 12 times per year and perhaps occasionally some other information.
PRIVACY POLICY

The personal information we hold from you will be used to provide tax receipts and periodically keep you informed and up-to-date on the activities of BCTRA and its members.
