Equipment (Safety and Adaptive) Funding
The Equipment Funding grant program is for BCTRA Level A or Level B Members requiring equipment, supplies or training to ensure the safe delivery and participation in one of the pillars that BCTRA supports (therapeutic riding, para-equestrian and EFW). BCTRA recognizes the need for specialized equipment and supports all efforts to create a safe environment for all participants.
Eligible Applicants
BCTRA Level A or Level B Members that have been in good standing for a minimum of 12 months are eligible to apply for funding for adaptive equipment to enhance or support their needs.
Funding Amounts
Equipment and Safety Funding is available to any BCTRA Level A or Level B Member who has been in good standing for a minimum of 12 months. Funds are awarded based on the number of applications per year.
Funding will be awarded to a maximum of $500 per application.
Application Process
- A cover letter outlining the need for requested equipment (max. 1 page). Please include:
- Who: will you be purchasing this equipment from
- What: what equipment do you require
- When: when do you plan to purchase it
- Where: will the equipment be used
- Why: explain how this equipment will benefit you and others
- Include budget, partners and other sources of funding for your equipment
- Provide a quote, invoice and/or proof of payment for reimbursement
- Incomplete applications WILL NOT be considered.
- Follow up report providing acknowledgement of purchase.
Approval Process
The BCTRA Board will receive and review all applications at monthly board meetings (second Monday of each month). Members are eligible to apply only once a year.
When to Apply
The BCTRA Bursary Funding application period will be open all year for review, or until funding is exhausted. Applicants will be notified upon receipt of application. Deadline for applications is the first Monday of each month.
**Please note that there are NO Board meetings in August and December.
