BCTRA 2022-23 Annual Grants Awarded
The BC Therapeutic Riding Association (BCTRA) has awarded $44,600 in funding to 10 therapeutic riding and para-equestrian organizations in
British Columbia. The successful recipients are:
Lower Mainland
Pony Pals Therapeutic Riding Association
Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association
Southlands Therapeutic Riding Association
Victoria and Gulf Islands
Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association
Powell River Therapeutic Riding Association
Robert’s Creek Ranch (TROTS)
Salt Spring Therapeutic Riding Association
BC Interior
Creston Valley Society for Therapeutic Horsemanship
Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association
Little Oasis Equine Matters
Funds were made available to BCTRA Group Members in good standing through two granting streams Growth and Development and Developing Professionals. This round of funding saw $33,500 in Growth and Development dollars go to a wide range of programs, horse care, and capacity-building projects and an additional $11,100 to support training for instructors, staff, and volunteers.
To date, BCTRA has awarded over $235,000 to our members since 2017 through the BCTRA Maggie Carpenter Trust. Our next granting cycle will be announced in September 2023.
