Topics: BCTRA

We would like to introduce to you Jamie Copeland from North Saanich, BC one of this year’s para-equestrian participants in the 2018 BC Summer Games in Cowichan, BC July 19-22.

How long have you been riding?

I have been riding for seven years.

How and where did you get involved?

I first got introduced to riding by the Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association program in 2011.

Are you associated with one of our member centres?

I ride with Manestream.

What are you most looking forward to at the Summer Games?

The thing I am most looking forward to about the BC summer games is meeting new people and participating at a higher-level show.

Tell us about your horse:

The horse I ride is a 19-year-old quarter horse with characteristics of an Arabian named Heidi. She is very expressive about her girth being done and will make faces indicating so.

Introduce us to your team:

I couldn’t have got here without my amazing team that includes; my mom, my grandparents and my two coaches, Stella French and Kim Scott. I’m also lucky enough to have an awesome physiotherapist named Kim Anderson by my side.
