Helping Our Members Pivot Through COVID

In September BCTRA awarded over $17,000 to 16 of our members to help them pivot their operations in order to maintain services for their clients, staff and volunteers.

In August we announced the COVID-19 Pivot Funding Initiative as our way to reach out and support our members across the province. Our goal was to help ensure that they had the supplies, equipment, information and resources to work through this unprecedented time.

The funding applications listed a wide range of needs and activities including:

• Find support with developing online programs and enhancing virtual technologies
• Create new processes and programs that meet provincial health and sport regulations
• Purchase PPE, hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies
• Buying extra tack to alternate between riders and volunteers

We are proud to be able to offer these funding opportunities to our members and overcome the many challenges they face.
