Thank You Clive!

BCTRA members, para-equestrians, and coaches from across the province raved about their time with Clive Milkins, Technical Advisor for the EC Para-Dressage program in four Coaching clinics held in March in Langley, Kamloops, Duncan, and Victoria. The clinics were hosted in collaboration with Equestrian Canada (EC), the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC), Horse Council British Columbia (HCBC), and the British Columbia Therapeutic Riding Association (BCTRA).

Here is what some of our members had to say:

“It took me a couple of days to fully come down from such an amazing weekend! This past weekend, Canada’s Paralympic coach Clive Milkins came to our little island to give clinics to coaches and riders new to the world of Para Dressage. With the help of Clive we have been able to make some more solid goals for the year, and looking forward to 2024 as well!”

Kim Scott, Para-Equestrian

“What a phenomenal two days with Clive Milkins! Such a wealth of experience, knowledge, and talent that was relatable and realistic. We would 100% be happy to host another clinic with Equestrian Canada and BCTRA and are planning on having Clive return to work with our riders.”

Ashley Sudds, Equestrian Canada Coach and Executive Director of Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association.

“Clive provided inspiration with a dose of reality that was thought-provoking.  The road from Therapy to Sport is very doable with full commitment and passion from athletes, family, and coaches. What a wonderful learning experience.”
