FREE Round Table – Para-Equestrian Opportunities

This month’s Round Table is on February 26, 2024, at 7 pm.

BCTRA is excited to announce that Jamie-Ann Goodfellow from Equestrian Canada and Ashley Sudds from BCTRA will be our guest speakers to answer your questions about your para-equestrian opportunities.  Jamie-Ann will provide information on Equestrian Canada’s 2024 Para-Dressage Video Competition Series, and Ashley will provide an overview of BCTRA’s 4th Annual Video Competition.

Jamie-Ann Goodfellow has 16 years of experience with Equestrian Canada; she has a key support role in preparing team logistics for international team competitions, championships, and significant games. She has attended two World Equestrian Games and supported numerous World Equestrian Games, Olympic / Paralympic and Pan American Games. Jamie-Ann works tirelessly to coordinate programs that encourage participation in Para-Dressage sports, identify talented athletes, and provide a link from therapeutic riding programs to competition programs, such as talent clinics, the video competition series, classification, and competition pathway support. Her motivation at EC stems from a desire to support all athletes by helping them do what it takes to maximize their ability to achieve their goals and move through the competition pathway.

Ashley Sudds will announce the launch of BCTRA’s 4th Annual Para-Equestrian Video Competition, which will run from February to September this year. Ashley moved to Kamloops from North Vancouver in February 2014. She used to teach at Pacific Riding For Developing Abilities in Langley.  Ashley started riding when she was 13; her favourite discipline is Dressage. Before starting Therapeutic Riding, Ashley worked for Crown Packaging, taught piano lessons and volunteered with Girl Guides. Ashley is a certified CTRBI CanTRA Basic Instructor. Ashley is also a certified PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Along with her Therapeutic Riding certifications, Ashley is a Registered Coach through Equestrian Canada.
